About Held at Heart
“Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world” James 1:27
Held at heart Uganda was started as a registered Community Based Organization in 2020.
Today it serves as a legally registered Non-Government Organization (NGO) primarily working in Wakiso, Kampala and Mukono district in Uganda.
- Held at Heart embarked on promoting health awareness by providing solutions that make healthcare more affordable and accessible for all. We do this through taking medical outreaches to undeserved communities and empowering health workers in rural areas with continued medical education to deliver better care.
- We also believe in education as a tool that empowers children psychologically, socially, mentally and economically.
Our goal is to reach unto the poor and underprivileged children through direct education sponsorships, career guidance among the youth and promoting health awareness to communities through our medical outreaches.
Held at Heart Uganda has offices and a fully registered Health facility in Kitetiika 7miles off Gayaza Road and conducts medical programs in small communities around Wakiso.
How to Get Involved
We recognize that the compassionate actions of joint efforts most accurately measure the greatness of a community and we, therefore, call upon volunteers more especially the youth to get involved in serving communities to support the vulnerable groups such as women, children and the elderly.
